Forest Bathing today
We had to take Jerry's diesel truck up to the dealer in Newberry today to get a sensor replaced (don't even ask how much that cost us! Yikes!). So instead having to drive the 30 minutes home and then go back to Newberry we decided to walk at Lynches Woods which is one of my favorite places. Last time we walked here about a month or so ago we walked the 5 mile road loop. This time we walked on the trail the winds its way through the forest along the creek. We still ended up with 4 miles of walking. It was so quiet with no other people around on the trail even though we saw two cars in the parking lot. Perfect weather too; cloudy and a little warm.
Rocky Branch Creek is so pretty with the beech trees golden brown. There were also a few wildflowers today, a bloodroot, the white flower and the purple with white is what I think is a round lobed hepatica but maybe not. I used my new little wildflower book my son got me for Christmas! A couple of unexpected items spotted. See the extras.
While we were eating lunch the rain poured down!! We were very thankful we got our outside time in as it is supposed to rain for three days now.
