Shadows on my Blind
It’s always a bonus to have shadows of the patio shrub on the blinds in my woman cave. It means there is sunshine outside, and it did last long enough for me to finish food or rather drink shopping for my Orkney guests coming for a meal tonight.
Since I am not a connoisseur of wine, that was His Lordship’s job and one that he loved and took great care with, I tend to go by the pretty picture on the label when I chose a bottle.
I know this is just as bad as choosing a book by its cover, and worse still, it will be the guests who suffer since I cannot differentiate between wines- they all taste alike to me.
I went for a walk this afternoon while my slow cooker did all the meal cooking and I just got back in time before the rain and wind blew in. Although the rain seems to have abated it’s blowing a hoolie outside, but I imagine Poppy and Mike will consider it just a strong breeze. The Orcadians are used to so much worse.
