The slippery slope......

This hot cross bun represents the tip of the slippery slope to unhealthy eating, and eternal damnation, the more so if it is spread with Nutella. Yes , I confess, I ate it , savouring every mini mouthful, a mini mouthful because, if there is a plus side, it was indeed a mini hot cross bun.

Not only did I consume this chocolatey bun, but other equally unhealthy afternoon tea delights as I entertained for the 2nd time in 3months, the Humanist celebrant when he came to talk with the rest of the family about the funeral arrangements for my granddaughter’s father, my ex son-in-law.

It can be a bit more complicated when the deceased is young and there are 3 generations involved than when there are only 2, but I think we have finally got the balance right. We are hoping that the celebration of his life next Friday will offset some of the pain of losing him and his talent so soon.
