Jean’s London Diary
Arrived in Gatwick from Dublin this morning around lunchtime. No evidence of a storm apart from a little rock’n’roll on approach.
Took the Thameslink train to London Bridge to meet my daughter and my first ever glimpse of the shard. Cool.
Lots of hugs and kisses - we were so happy to see each other.
Lunch at the ‘Flour and Grape’ (we both love Italian food) and lots of chat. ‘Mum, the coffee is quite good here in London. Let’s try the Watch House across the road’. Great coffee.
Then off to see the Tracey Emin exhibition at The White Cube and this is my blip. It’s quite disturbing overall - clearly a lot of personal grief on display - but we both enjoyed it and appreciated it.
We bought tickets for Kinodigital Bermondsey to see the Ruth Bader-Ginsberg docufilm ‘On the basis of Sex’. Well worth seeing.
Dinner at 8.30 and I am now pretty tired.
I am delighted to be in London but happy to see my daughter. She is in my blip and you can see how short her hair is
Day 1 in London - rainy and breezy
