Veggies Galore...

Agnes and Adrian were coming for dinner so I spent an enjoyable afternoon in the kitchen slow roasting veggies to make vegetable lasagne and making garlic herb butter for homemade garlic bread.

When they arrived we cracked open the bubbly as we were celebrating Agnes's new job (a fab promotion) and their daughter Emily's unconditional uni offer.

Agnes and I have been best friends since Primary School and Adrian and David best friends since first year of High School.  It's always handy when two best friends marry two best friends as it means lots of reminiscing and laughter over our shared past and tonight was no exception.  

One of us always remembers something another would rather forget and that makes for a very enjoyable evening, although we all agree that the least said about the saga of Hogmanay 1987 and the cheese sandwiches (or cheese pieces if you're Scottish  :-)) the better!
