Unusual Citrus tree trimmed for ease of picking

We were taking a walk around the neighborhood of a friend today and I noticed the citrus trees had been trimmed to a lower level and almost topiary in style. They still yield a good bit of fruit and are easy to reach and seem to be thriving. For a smaller yard, this seemed a clever idea and certainly tidy! Most citrus is almost to the ground with branches and you can hard to get to the fruit, if the trees grow very large and tall!. These were very accessible and stylish, too! You would have to train from the beginning of growth, but certainly a style to consider! Reminds me of an orangery!
