Boron 2002

7.4C. Wind so far 24mph gusting 30mph. Leuchars data from the Met office agrees with the data from the local weather station. Rain. Really horrible day.

As on the 4th of the month just a short walk only today for the purposes of emptying Maeve the Deerhound. She was really unhappy and didn't want to be out. I had to walk her up and down to the church twice to persuade her she really wanted to do what she had to do. I made sure to dry her paws and underside when we got back so she would be comfortable this afternoon.

There is a SEPA flood warning for local coastal areas here due to a very high tide (3pm) and a storm surge. People are being advised to stay away from the seafronts and the harbour at Arbroath in case of waves "overtopping" the sea walls. I am hoping that the cottages at Westhaven don't have flood problems and wave damage to their gardens and that all the fishing gear and boats at the Fishermen's huts will be safe.

It had to be the other metal label on the same big wooden pole as the blip on the 4th came from for today. Either that or it was an indoor shot. I preferred an outdoor option :-)

Later there will have to be one or two more short soggy walks for Maeve !
