Well Deserved Rest

With the news that their injured friend has been treated and taken to a sanctuary to be cared for, the two who stuck with him through the whole ordeal finally can relax.  
I think they're my friends now because they show up every day and if they see me at the door they run honking excitedly looking for treats.   They were my co-conspirators in the rescue attempt so I'm guessing we're permanently bonded in some goose/human way.
