Reelin’ In the years

Perfect day. Lazy start, porridge for breakfast (well it is Scotland) and copious amounts of tea. Walk around our hosts 25 acres in the snow which was lovely. Met sheep and chickens and cats. Dogs were crazy and loving every minute of it. And old friends were catching up and taking selfies ...

Only downer was that Mr G senior had to leave us to fly off on business early afternoon. By then the snow was beginning to melt.

Needed a snooze by lunchtime. Then we went to the Gleneagles Hotel in the evening, met people who were staying there and was forced to drink their champagne and whiskey. Rather lovely buildings and grounds and lots of stars after dark.

Had a beer with a delicious vegan meal (haggis and mashed potato!) then went back home and was forced to sample three more whiskies curated by Mr G Jnr. Tasting session, purely in the interest of science and art.
