Little Grebe

Called in to rspb Leighton Moss but the weather wasn't great. This photograph of a Little Grebe was taken from the Causeway hide just before it started raining. 

We also drove down to the Eric Morecambe hide and saw a couple of avocets but they weren't very active. They spent most of the time with their heads tucked under their wings, which wasn't surprising. The wind  was blowing and whistling through the hide and I wouldn't like to have been out in the open.
