Morning Rain

Well that didn't happen for a start!
Altho the forecasts all predicted it and altho the Norwester wind did it's very best to blow it into town it still didn't happen and that is a bit of a synopsis on the weather in Wanaka. Bad stuff often does not happen. Good! It was however Monday morning and altho normal walking has been suspended until the end of January acyclinggranny has traditionally run walks for the locals right through this period. I say locals because we did advertise walks at this time once and we got a bunch of holiday imports many of which did not understand the rules of courtesy and consideration and gate control and it was resolved not to ever do this again. Folk that come with local folk are never a problem. There was a heated discussion on what to do this morning as it was blowing like mad so we settled on the known and reliable and just went straight to the coffee shop went to the outlet track which is very sheltered in Northerly conditions and fun to get lost in.
Great excitement and huge drama on this mornings walk.

1st text received by The Boss.. 'Parcel from Blip Photo'. WEEEEE the calendars have arrived.
2nd text received by The Boss.. 'back courtyard totally flooded and The Bossess had to don gumboots to turn tap off' . Some of the watering system is fed from this and the connection had blown off the fitting when the clip broke. Oh dear The Boss only turned everything on yesterday. Sigh.

The Bossess looks very sexy in pink gumboots so the Boss was very disappointed to have missed it.
There is some Royal blood in The Bossess too, as she was "NOT AMUSED" by the flooding which The Boss blamed on climate change through a very complicated explanation which frankly I lost in the first sentence.

Well The Blip Calendars are Fabulous. Thank you Mr B. Just about the best photographic calendar I have ever seen. We are distributing some to friends so I hope they will be as delighted as we are. Next year we promise to start earlier and purchase more.

What is that yellow buoy all about?
