The wind has blown a gale unabated for over a week and I, and most of the seagull population of Playa Paraíso, have had enough.

The waves continue to batter our little beach and deposit masses of broken bamboo upon the sand. The council has only just got rid of the last lot. Fortunately, it is not as bad this time. They had to make huge bonfires out of it then.

The forecast does not look too good for the weekend either: rain and wind, but improving during next week.

In time for the holidays, I hope.
