Knocking Holes in the Wall

After the visit from the sweep on Friday we had to remove a fibreboard wall in the bedroom that was too close to the chimney used by our new woodburner. The previously unused chimney could get warm/hot so I understand that hiding it away under a covering of 50 year-old fibreboard could be hazardous. It turned out to be a relatively simple job and hidden away under the chipboard was an old layer of wallpaper, (See extra) that must be at least 50 years old and could well be 70 years old.
Doing this physical work felt good, especially as it didn't leave me feeling exhausted, merely satisfactorily tired!
