Diary of an Edinburgher

Tinned treat!

A cold day, with a brief hailstorm just when JR and Archie did their morning round the block walk. Mind you, the overnight rain has washed the plaster and sand from the front garden paving stones at last, so that's good.

JR has been a busy bee all day cleaning out the larder, which got covered in dust even though I had my (useless) rolled up plastic round the door.

She found some tins which were soon to be out of date, so we had a little bonus snackeroo of tinned peaches and tinned custard. Yum yum - what a treat.

I haven’t done much at all, taking the nurse's advice to 'take it easy' very literally, though I’m sure she just meant 48 hours...

We took delivery of some new lampshades for the hall. These online shopping deliveries are excellent. They give you a one hour window, and arrive when they say they will, often next day delivery.

Arranged for Archie's 6 monthly check up at the vet tomorrow. He'll be delighted.
