Engines Galore!

After I blipped the traction engine yesterday I saw more engines. Guessing where they were going for the night I went there this morning to watch them preparing to leave. I saw 9 or 10 traction engines and a steam truck. It was a very gloomy overcast morning, which made photographing dark subjects rather challenging.

One of my favourites was the bright yellow chain-driven truck. You can see the chain to the right of the back wheel. One of the machines was driven by a young woman. It seemed to be a family affair. She drove off towing a trailer carrying fuel and a water tank, followed by two caravans, all joined together.

I took heaps of shots and had trouble choosing a few to post. Fortunately I have a lot of extra shots available so I’ve gone for seven- see extras.
