for Spring

The first beekeeping job of the season has now been completed.  It is time for each colony of bees that has overwintered to be given more space. 

 This involves the addition of a box on top of the hive that we call a "super"

The colony then  hopefully has room for some spring honey to be brought in.  It was also time to cut the grass and have a gentle tidy up!
