The dark side of Baleshare

This is the tidal area that separates Baleshare from North Uist. There are lots of place names associated with cairns here - both Gaelic and Norse. Looking at this mage you can see why.
Up relatively early to breakfast our Airbnb guests and then up and out. It was one of those spring days to remember. Yesterday was good but today even the wind dropped out. It wasn't hot but it was enough to just be wearing a shirt (Tricia would probably be wearing only three layers - that warm)
So good, I had to celebrate with a pint or two in the Westford with Austen D from down the road. And a glass of red at his afterwards.
