The Lake District Mysteries
I've started to read Martin Edwards' Lake District Mysteries series to help me get to know my local area. Just like I read Ian Rankin to get to know Edinburgh. I've only read the first one, The Coffin Trail, and have got quite confused because there are places I have not heard of, but then Ive only lived here a year. This afternoon my local library was hosting an afternoon with Edwards, so I went along to check the geography of his books and found another reader complaining he can't find site of the murders on his OS map. Edwards told us that he makes up locations because a murder is a horrible event and he does not want to taint real. places. So it seems I can't go on a Martin Edwards tour of the Lakes like you can do an Ian Rankin tour of Edinburgh. I'm quite disappointed
