Oaks

Oak trees are just coming into leaf now. This group are in the floodplain nature reserve in north-west Milton Keynes. Oak branches seem to twist about all over the place, creating a rather attractive random effect within the overall shape of the tree. 

The water seemed quite low, especially the river, although yesterday evening's heavy rain will probably be making a difference by tomorrow. There weren't many waterfowl in evidence, just the usual all year round residents and some tufted duck. But we were just there for the walk and didn't have the binoculars, so no doubt may have missed anything more interesting.
