Hartshead Pike
It proved to be a successful geocaching/pub/football day with Rick today.
First up was a 3.5 mile walk around Hartshead Pike where we found all the geocaches we looked for. The weather was fabulous and the top has great views over Manchester. The main photo is the tower on top of the hill.
Next up we drove into Stalybridge to visit Stalybridge Station Bar and Buffet. We have been here before but I was reminded of it by NLN's blip last week. It is a terrific bar and they do great pie and peas as well. The first extra is for NLN.
Finally it was off to Ashton United to watch Chester win their third away match on the run. To be honest they didn't need to play particularly well to beat a poor Ashton team but the 3-0 victory was a good way to round off the day. The second extra shows Chester fans at the turnstile.
