Making old ‘bones ...

... into plant pots. Upcycling they call it. Very trendy. But what I liked about this shot - taken in the trendy and exotic location of a Surrey garden centre - is the textures and shadows. Rather lovely.

It is of course a legal requirement under the Pointless Purposes Act of 1983 to visit a garden centre on Easter Monday even if you don’t have a garden. And let’s be honest nowadays they will sell you anything from a full English breakfast to a topiary statue of a lama, so there is no excuse. At the very least you can buy a half price Mother’s Day card that you will put in a drawer for next year then forget about it, or a sign to hang in the kitchen saying ”remember, as far as everyone knows we are a normal family".

We confined ourselves to buying tubs of herbs which we do at least cook with. And if they die - well you can market them as the dried variety, home produced.

TSM and I had another productive day; our conservatory is now much improved. But we need the chill factor again. Pants Monster has been badly behaved today and TSM had to endure a bad headache all morning. So I’m going to rest my old bones and stop blowing my own trumpet ...
