Dark Dank & Donk
As the late great Spike Milligan would say.......
My wander this morning provided a couple of surprises on top of a pre-planned acquisition. This picture is also available as a 13 second 3D model on Flickr. However the Flickr image is not processed to the same degree as this Jpeg.
Bottom right a tiny Nectria coccinea, this is about 0.5 mm across and is surrounded by minute black hairs which look like eyelashes. Behind that is a Common Earthball - Scleroderma citrinum; bottom left is a beautifully constructed Spongiporus subcaesius, this looks like a sponge when viewed close up as it's name implies. In the centre are two tiny white fungi, possibly Kidney-shaped pleurotes Panellus mitis. The lilac fungi was a complete surprise; Silver-leaf fungi (Chondrostereum purpurem).
Despite all that the best piece for me is the skeleton of the sycamore seed.
