South of the Border
Down Newcastle way, and resisting the temptation to call this 'Fog on the Tyne'. It was just a bit grey. That didn't matter as we were in the Baltic for hours (only managed to cover two floors), and then the Sage, for tea and a bit of a sit down. In between, we walked over the Millenium Bridge (above), along the Quay and back across another bridge - how many bridges does Newcastle have?
Later we drove to North Shields for a great seafood supper, and another stroll by the shore. There's a fine monument to fishermen lost at sea (extra).
Can't resist the other extra, spotted in the Baltic shop. They are dog toys, apparently. I'd have a hard time choosing which to give to my hound, if I had one.
