Moving in to No.2

G, H and I went for a great photo shoot this morning at Natural Surroundings, which has wildlife friendly gardens, plants for sale and a cafe. We arrived in time to see the weekly moth group inspecting their three traps. It was very cold overnight (and this morning) and today was one of the lowest number of moths they've trapped. They just remove the egg boxes in the traps, identify the moths, record them and then once the moths have woken up they go off again. I've added extras of a Great Prominent on the egg box and a Powdered Quaker on a leaf.

We also saw the blue tits moving into No.2 nestbox, some delightful long tailed tits doing acrobatics to go from the tree to the hedge they were nesting in and some frogs.

A lovely day.
