Everyday I Write The Book

Kazoo

Working backwards:

We ended the day with vegan pizza and fruit pie whilst watching Friends.  Not at the same time of course, you’d be sick.

Prior to that we went to a fab bar where the beer was good, the live music excellent (right down to the kazoo playing) and the ambience exceptional. L’escalier, basically an upstairs rabbit warren over a nondescript shop doorway. Fabulous. I love a place like that.

I went for a walk as the sun was going down. Saw a man with a huge crucifix and a woman on a scooter (see extras). My little bit of street photography for the week.

The Girl Racer was doing an excellent job of slobbing out. She’s a professional when it comes to drinking tea, hiding under a blanket and playing with the remote control.

Before that I may or may not have had a sleep on the settee and dribbled on the cushion.

I bought clothes in Lulu Lemon. The Girl Racer has a discount from her second employment. Trousers and a purple t shirt. Normally a bit out of my range but 40% off is cool and their stuff is fab.

Lunch was Montreal’s famous copper branch chain. Vegan food to die for. The buffalo wings taste like real buffalo and I had my first poutine. Which is apparently pronounced like the name of a certain Russian dictator and not as if it rhymes with tureen, according to The Girl Racer.

Before that we did a big walk up Mont Real. It’s a big hill. I mean mountain. Definitely a mountain. Most exercise I’ve had in ages. Great views over the city and my puff was stretched, in a good way.

We also got lost on the Uni campus at McGill but eventually found coffee.

Before that we made breakfast at home. Best vegan bacon ever. Hand made in a nearby vegan supermarket.

Great day. I love Montreal.
