Everyday I Write The Book

Shopping, shoes and squirrels

Nothing touristy about today, although TSM and I did take a walk around La Fontaine Park. This was not exciting. Montreal pretty much shuts down places like this until the weather improves enough for outside living; the temperature dropped to a miserly three degrees today, and there still isn’t much in the way of blossom and new leaves on the trees. There was however a rather nice metal sculpture of some shoes under a chair and an albino squirrel (see extras). Never seen one of those before.

We met up with The Girl Racer at McGill; she had just bought a wedding dress. I mean a dress to wear to a wedding. Slightly different. We went to Indigo, drank coffee and lemonade (not at the same time, you’d be sick) and bought a couple of items. Indigo is a cool bookshop cum cafe cum housewares cum game shop. We went to one in Toronto last year. Then a sandwich in the fantastic Copper Branch before heading home in the rain.

Home made supper and movie tonight. Great day, nothing spectacular but very chilled and curiously satisfying.
