Friday: Back Alley

We have thoroughly enjoyed exploring our neighbourhood today. It has the reputation of being being very artsy, eclectic and vibrant. It's certainly that.

Amongst other things, Denver is known for its indoor markets so today we tried 'The Source' and 'Denver Central Market', both very individual and full of character.

That took us into the afternoon. Denver is the mothership of craft beers, having more craft breweries per capita than anywhere else in the US. Following on from my comment yesterday regarding microbreweries we set off exploring, pacing ourselves very carefully with tasters and lots of water. We sampled at 'Odells', 'Epic', '14er' and 'Ratio'.

We then rested up for a few hours at our apartment and continued with 'Our Mutual Friend' and '10Barrel'.

We ended the night in a wonderful cigar/whisky bar, full of jazz, and late night ambience.

As I am typing this up coherently, and posting extras, you can rest assured that no harm was done.
