Bobbles and Buns
Very wet today - days seem so short. Thankfully we have passed the solstice and I can look forward to my sap rising !
Still haven't plucked up the energy to do the Christmas food shop. I'll either have to go very early in the morning or late evening.
No 2 was dancing at an Edinburgh supermarket - trying to raise some Christmas cheer - No 3 went along to support dressed as a Christmas Tree.
On the journey over, to prevent the 'car fights' , I set them the task of counting Christmas trees. I used to play this game with my 2 sisters in the back seat of my dad's Cortina. Fiona counted out the left side window, Janet out the right. I sat in the middle (the hard bit where the armrest folded up) - in the days before rear seat belts. I counted both sides.
I think there was a certain amount of creative license - we counted anything lit up on a window, even street light reflections!
This game kept my two happy all the way there - and they didn't appear to cheat - although they both beat me !
Here's a wee glimpse of the young girls waiting to dance after the big 'Santa's'. No 3 was very disappointed that I didn't pick a blip with her in her tree costume. Sorry no 3 !
