Atherstone Lock No4.

An exciting morning.  If the area looks suitable we set up the trail cam to look at the opposite bank of the canal over night.  When we checked to see if anything had triggered it we had images of an otter and a fox.

We now planned to continue on the "Covvie" until we reached the Ashby canal then take a trip up the Ashby. The blip is of the approach to number 4 lock in the series of 11 known as the Atherstone Locks.  BY evening we were near bridge 12 on the Ashby, a canal with no locks!  It seems I will be having a quiet few days with no locks, why would anyone build a canal with no locks!!!!
