Three Wishes

My Christmas tree fairy seems to be able to grant me three wishes.

If only, this morning, I had called upon her powers!

I wish the electricity to the premises had not gone down just after lunchtime. We had to cope with 1.5 hours of it down yesterday morning but today we struggled, in the failing afternoon light to display our goods well. A customer had a torch, yippee! He said he had more and we could hang onto it. The customer holding it at that moment must have thought he was talking to her and she must have kept it, leaving us in the dark!

I wish I was not in the last few days of retailing and so reliant on pleasing every customer who came through the door! So difficult to show them jewellery in these conditions!

I wish I had filled a flask!

I am so grateful to the many customers who filled my dark shop and viewed their purchases by mobile phone light! Thank you!
