This one’s for posterity.

I am not sure there’ll ever be another show of its like again. I cringed, gasped, cried, laughed, swore, jumped out of my skin and obsessed about predicting what might happen next through 8 series. I even dragged my poor daughter around Dubrovnik spotting filming locations.  I also developed a massive crush on Iain Glen but that’s another matter......

Sadly I watched the final episode alone as David, the only family member who would have joined me, was still in Venice.

Today I am as zombified as one of the army of the dead.....
