Friday: Anjou and Harsha

I had a meeting at the university at lunchtime so worked from home afterwards.

Late afternoon we drove over to North Shore to meet up with H and J for our F meal - this is our challenge to eat our way through the alphabet. We went to 'Tour de Feast', a French restaurant run by an Indian family from Chandigarh. It's the son who's the chef, having trained in South Carolina and Toronto.

The food was really good, probably one of the best meals we've had in Vancouver. That's saying something in a city that generally has good food. I had braised beef, K. had Arctic char.

This is Anjou (on the left), the chef's mum, and Harsha, a family friend, who works there as server. She was very funny!

We then repaired to H and J's where they introduced us to a new board game, 'Sequence'. The most fun we always have is with K who pretends to despise games, but secretly she doesn't really.

So, our eating challenge so far:

Afghan
Burmese
Chindian
Dutch
English
French

It's on K and me to organise G.
