is it safe to come out yet??!

Lovely weather so far today - strange for a bank holiday! So we took advantage and went for a nice walk at RHS Hyde Hall where the gardens have just exploded into even more colour than normal! The roses in particular were looking spectacular - as they are in our garden right now!

Spotted this little sparrow in one of the nest boxes up therre chirping for some attention! 

Had a traumatic incident in our own garden yesterday too as heard some squawking noises so went out to investigate and found a magpie attacking a baby starling - despite my intervention it was too late to save him so I'm having to be more vigilant out there now if I spot the magpies approaching!
