Christmas Eve

What a stormy last couple of nights. Some of the cattle got out, the old barn roof collapsed and the dog ran off with her gigolo neighbour!

All is now calm and the Christmas Tree is in its bucket and decorated, the varied preparations completed, except for the icing of the cake ("ready to roll" will save the day!) and the time has arrived to collapse into a chair with a drink. T and K and friends are overdosing on Christmas carol singing. There is a session down in a village square nearby where the A30 cuts through, followed later by a candlelit Midnight Mass at our tiny local church.

A thought to those people in the South West who have been flooded out for the third time and are forced to move out of their homes over the festive period.
