Chorley.......cake anyone?
We paid our first trip into Chorley town centre today, how terrible is that, considering its only a half hour drive away!
Hub had an appointment there to have his ears syringed, at a private clinic, as the NHS waiting time was into July, post our holiday!
We found a car park and this statue just appeared next to me, as I got out of the car! Quickly grabbed my camera, todays blip sorted!
I have since learned that it is a WW1 memorial in recognition of 222 lost souls. More here if you are interested.

We called in a local cafe for a coffee and a bit of lunch.....looked ok, but not the best choice, had to send my poached eggs on toast back! How do you manage to poach an egg, where the yoke is like a golf ball but the white is all wet and slimy....beats me! Needless to say we won't be going back.
We had a quick look around the market stalls,
but didnt make any purchases, not even Chorley cakes!
Its turned wet and chilly this afternoon, so an afternoon indoors. We watched a biopic of Andrea Bocelli's life story, with Antonio Banderros, really enjoyed it!
We enjoyed dinner tonight much better than lunch ;-) Prawns and earl grey smoked salmon, in a tomato, onion, chilli and garlic sauce, with linguine, and for me some griddled asparagus and courgettes on the side.
Just settling down to watch Master Photographer 2019.......:-)
