Christmas Eve!
It was a busy day today, as predicted, preparing for Christmas day and waiting for my mum and dad to arrive!
The morning, however, began with a treat for me! I took Maple to get my hair cut and a manicure and pedicure across the road at our local beauty salon. I chose a very Christmassy, glittery red. There were no worries with Maple as she was cuddled and played with by the staff at the salon; I think she had the best time out of us both! Meanwhile, Aunty Mecky read books to and kept the twin's under control!
I made a raspberry peach cheesecake for the next day. I also got the Gingerbread House kit out for assembly and decoration with Oscar and Bailee.... a bit of wishful thinking I think as it needed at least me and Andy to assemble it in order to keep it in one piece! The twins enjoyed watching, stealing the odd sweet. It makes a dangerously enticing table centrepiece!
In the end it was an extremely exciting day for me as my parents arrived from NZ after not seeing them for 16 months! They got to see Maple (Asleep in her cot) for the first time. They also peeped in on the twins. It is so good to see them here and Dubai and we are all really looking forward to spending time with them and having fun days!
