JUNE DAY AT THE SEASIDE

A strong north-easterly coinciding with high tide usually means big waves at the Headland. Sheltering in the quiet water on the other side of the Heugh breakwater was a raft of eiders, sleeping, moulting or fledging with a few senior adults in charge (extras).
