Sleeping lions

Went to the Five Sisters Zoo with one of the young people from work. I always find it a bit of a strange place, lots of weird garden ornaments around and the Christmas decorations left up all year round! However they have given homes to badly treated animals and these ex circus lions looked very happy sleeping in the sun.

We also went to newly upgraded Saughton Park. I spent many hours there when my children were young and it was nice to see all the changes that had been made. As usual the planting was impressive and it was lovely to see the original bandstand back in its rightful place.
