Shabbat

As in the traditional Friday night meal in a jewish home. Falls halfway between Christmas and New Year this year. The Yoga Mama did us a nice supper and told us about her adventures at Limmud which is where a lot of Jewish people go over Christmas for learning and sharing.

This is a picture of Challah or Chollah which is the egg enriched bread with the kosher wine for the kiddush. You can read all about it on Wikipedia.

Other than that a slightly frustrating day in local hospitals, pharmacists, mobile phone shops (even a simple upgrade doesn't half take a long time) and supermarkets. And when will these grey skies lift ...
