Burst of life

It is amazing what a bit of rain and warmth will do in the garden. This dahlia bud is about to burst into flower - our turnip seed planted on the farm about a month ago, has taken off, and the grass is growing. Exactly what we wanted to see happen.

Farmerboy's sister and family are visiting at the moment, so most of the day has been spent with them. Tea was fish and chips - a nice easy meal, and a bit of a treat for us.
