falling for fells

We can’t get enough of the Wainwright challenge. Aside from when we’ve had enough about two thirds of the way through each walk.

We woke in a tent - something has changed or I’ve just been changed by my babies but this now makes me very happy. Breakfast and packing up in the sun and then off we went to conquer Silver How and Blea Rigg. On the map they don’t look like much of a challenge but if you add 3 children, it suddenly gets tougher. Eve struggled on the way up, telling herself she couldn’t do it but I very much enjoyed seeing her get past her thoughts and bounce down the fell with tons of energy and joy. Zeke was joyful throughout and Isaac keeps us all entertained whatever he’s doing.

Gratefuls:

1. A well deserved dinner in the pub, always tastes better when your legs have worked hard;
2. The kids feeling free and a bit more independent on the campsite;
3. Those fells - just stunning.
