Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Last minute decision to buy an Elton John ticket for myself to go with the one I’d bought Bb for his birthday (which is in Feb) as we decided we wanted to share the experience. Good decision!!

He treated us to a full 2hrs 45' of high energy, fantastic music and some inspiring words about the importance of kindness and love and his work on HIV. The start time was 9pm and we thought it wouldn't start on time (hardly anything does here!) and we thought there would be a warm up act first. Wrong! 9pm on the dot, the lights came on and there he was, on stage at the piano. He and his band were a.m.a.z.i.n.g! We got all the big songs, as well as a few not so well-known ones to us. The energy was palpable and what a voice - he's still got it! Bb and I were on separate floors, but we sang and danced along with the rest and then met up afterwards, buzzing. A night to remember!
