Diary of an Edinburgher

Flipper feet

I started to clear out the living room - tomorrow they will start installing the new gas fire (with remote control). Not sure how much work is involved, as they're not sure where the gas pipe goes to/ends. The floorboards might need to be ripped up through the lounge, and the hall and maybe the bedroom. Hope not!

Annemique took Archie out this afternoon for a big walk through the Hermitage. We heard all about her 'Tough Mudder' event of a couple of weeks ago, where she ran 5k though MUD and obstacles. For fun!

We then popped down to visit Rufus and his mum and to return the plastic boxes we'd used during our renovations. I needed the room in the shed, as the old Aga wood burner can be stored there till I can sell it.

We admired the new decking outside the (new) kitchen door. The planning and permissions for this have taken months and at last it's started.

It would have been rude not to partake in a Glass (or two) of Prosecco.

Here's Archie, cooling off in the river. Look at those big flipper feet! (Photo by Annemique)
