Titanic
Visited the Titanic Centre in Belfast docks. The main pic is a reconstruction of one of the more affluent cabins, with its ghostly video clips of crew and passengers exchanging pleasantries. Additional is of the building itself. The ship-shaped sides represent the actual height of the main deck of the Titanic in dry dock before its launch - a massive ship. I asked why there were so few actual items recovered from the Titanic at the centre. The very informative girl told me that the items collected from the seabed were considered as grave-robbed items and were in private collections only. The three items carried off by survivors in their pockets are the only things that travelled on that fated voyage to be at the centre: a family letter home - not yet posted, a ticket, belonging to a doctor, plus a menu card.
