Emirates Sky Train

Today we headed off to the Dockland Light Railway and the Emirates Sky Train - a trip over the river Thames to the Dome/O2 - great fun to see the skyline from the pod.  We enjoyed a coffee at the other side and found this statue by Anthony Gormly (extra) of a man in a lot of steel!  We spent a couple o hours exploring the Dome - amazing place, full of very pricey shops etc.
We then took public transport to the Tower Bridge and enjoyed a lovely stroll along the river Bank - beautiful pavements to stroll along in bright sunshine.  Stopped off at Riverside Cafe (Hugh Fernley Whitingstall fame) to enjoy tea and delicious cake/bar.  Over 17k steps done today so the challenge is going very well......but knees did know about it by the time I got home!  G&T welcomed - Cheers.
