Naked Flame

It was a very, very windy day here in Ayr and I have not yet left the house. However, I knew this was what I wanted to do as a blip, the next time I was staying in for the day.

Since Dad played his last couple of golf holes at Turnberry (actually it was only one and a half) on March the 8th this year, candles are constantly lit during waking hours. Mom likes them and finds them a comfort along with going to mass four times a week.Don't ask me how strong my Catholic faith is. I really don't know. I'd never say I have no belief. I'm not sure I agree with a religion that seems to imply that the more you suffer, the more likely you are to obtain eternal life.

I feel there is something though, and I hope that this life is not all there is.

Rob in the office says there is more evidence for aliens existing than a God.

I heard a little child ask his mom 'If God lives up in the sky like you said, how come you can't see his legs dangling down through the clouds?'

That made me laugh! I am still none the wiser. I just hope, and still pray.
