Clisson

The husband, who is very good at research (he loves it), found a beautiful town for us to visit, called Clisson.  It dates back to the 13th Century and the covered market has been held in the same place for five centuries.  We weren't entirely sure whether having a tourist day in a town was a good idea with the boys, but it worked out fine.  We pushed the boat out and treated ourselves to lunch out, which was enjoyed by all.  The husband hd a burger (he's absolute default setting when it comes to eating out), which was ordered 'medium' - to sound like a true Brit, it was on the rare side of rare - which thankfully is more up his street when it comes to beef.

We had a lovely walk around the town and found the play area, as advised by the tourist office.  The eldest delighted in being in charge of the map and telling us where we had to go (after consultation with the husband each time).  We were told by the tourist office that we would be heading the right way to the play area if we took the street with the tree growing across it (see picture).

I found a shoe shop - the husband told the boys to get used to their mother going into shoe shops.... good advice that. And, I found a pair of shoes, not quite as in love with them as the ones I didn't buy yesterday.  However, somehow, the husband approves of my new gold trainers, he even went as far to say they looked great.

Late afternoon swim to tire out the boys - hour and a half later, we left the pool and the boys have had a very late night as a result. I love how much they are getting into their swimming and the confidence is coming on no end. AND - the lost bag from Sunday was found by the swimming pool, so we have it back. A good day.
