2019 Monday — When I’m in Cayucos

When I’m in Cayucos I love Mondays!

We drive to Los Osos/Baywood Park, which is along the back bay, every Monday to visit the Farmers Market to purchase soup from our soup chef Stephanie.

We also get delicious fresh fruit and veggies and the summer selection and bounty is quite a display.

We try to arrive at the Farmers Market a half hour early, at 1:30, when Stephanie starts accepting jars. Then we walk the pups along the shoreline — we look at the boats, notice whether the tide is in or out, feel the wind, and ooh & ahh at the beautiful flowers.

The pups tire quicker than they used to — Max and Mitzi are 10 1/2 years old and Chloe is 9. So we don’t take as long a walk as we used to and we don’t walk as fast as in the past.

At 2:00 the Farmers start selling, so we get the pups to the car and pour them a big drink of H2O, and then we head to the soup booth and the strawberry stand and to the cookie lady (she also sells tamales, yum).

We head back to the car with our loot, and then we oink all the way home to our little lavender house in Cayucos, where we enjoy soup and salad and of course some bread for our Monday supper.

Of course I love Mondays!
