A day of sport!
What a day of sport! I was really looking forward to the cricket, it being a novelty on free to air TV. And so I had cricket on TV all day, and tennis on my iPad half of the day. Great fun!
Becky and Daniel took Archie out in the morning, and Annemique took him out in the afternoon. Lucky boy! Mind you, he would have happily snoozed all afternoon anyway. He does find the heat (such as it is), very tiring, and often just stops and refuses to go another step when he's walking on pavements. This seems to happen to everyone. JR tries a treat to get him moving. But what did Annemique do when he stopped this afternoon? She carried him!!
She sent this photo not long after they had set off, with the message, 'This is Archie's mood today.' I had a chuckle, but assured her he'd be fine once they got to the Hermitage. Which he was - he ran about all over the place as usual. So he was kidding!
He really needs a haircut, and the grass needs cutting, and the hedge is growing daily, but all those jobs were on hold for today's epic day of sport - though I didn’t bother with Formula One.
In the afternoon p, before the cricket got toooo exciting, we popped down to see Rufus and his mum, as they've been away.
And what an exciting game of cricket it was too, especially at the end. To win the World Cup by just one run was incredible!
I'm exhausted after all that sport.
