2013 arrives

After a slow start, we got down to the beach for high tide at 11 this morning. The girls decided to try out their snorkelling gear that they got from my parents for Christmas. Lots of fun. We stayed at the beach until the tide was getting out far enough that it was a bit of work to get to some nice swimming depth.

After we came home, the girls got out their new Nerf water pistols, also a Christmas present, and we ended up having water fights between them and us, we had water bombs. The up side of all the rain that we've had recently means that there's plenty of water in the tanks (we are not on mains supply water here).

Finished the day with a picnic tea at a park, and then home for all the wind down. I feel all glowy with sun and crisp with salty hair. Time for a shower.
